Dear Cassie -

That was lovely that he was neat! I know many men who are quite neat and organized. They have all their tools on their own hooks, and keep the finances "just so".

To each his or her own!

Dear Cassie -

It is wonderful that you had time with him, and are able to treasure those memories.

Now I, on the other hand, have to force myself to keep my paperwork under control. Lately I am not doing too badly. I am getting better at it!

dan is almost entirely paperless. It's impressive. But i like my binders. I like having real paper to hold and make notes on.

The paper pile is the thing I struggle with most. I get so much junk mail and then the things I want to keep, I don't know where to file, so they end up in one pile.

However, I remember what is in each pile so if a piece of paper is needed, I remember exactly where it is.

Hi Tina,

Man oh man you are preaching to the choir here with the paper !

I'm the same way... don't touch that pile.. I know where everything is !!!

Grrrr !!

Ah but think of how those brain cells could be used on better tasks! Why "waste" them on remembering locations in a paper pile, when other systems could handle that for you?

A paper pile is just a collection of tasks. If you get a portable file folder, they can easily go into folders, and be sorted without those brain cells needing to be involved. Plus you can easily pull out one category and deal with it quickly!

I highly recommend the portable file folder idea.

I still say binders!!! I cannot sign their praises enough. I find them hugely comforting.

Yup I suppose it's not important HOW you organize your material, since we all have different preferences. But it's a great help TO organize it rather than leaving it in piles.
