Loong, you are most welcome in this and all forums here. Thank you for joining us. I am finding interest in your posts. _/\_ and I like your symbol of hands as a bow and thanks, so I give this to you also. Thank you. See, you just taught me something. I so agree, Lisa, that every person who comes into our life is a teacher is some way. I have always believed that. Very nice.

hails phyllis, my friends, and i don t have a lot of them but i met a lot of people, did it by supporting me but also by not being afraid to be true to themselves and telling the truth as it is.it is something i value in people, cause it good for both parties. i have though to add that enemies and people who hurt me have enhanced my spirituality a lot too,it is just that they didn t think it would.i think that in those times of pain and sadness the darkest times of your soul are the ones that enhance your spirituality the most because they are challenging and you have to use your spirit to go through those challenges, friends are usually there to accompany you on the way or youmeet important figuresthat guide you.these people are then more than friends. Hails, Gem. It is good to see you here. I very much agree with what you say, that during the dark times is when we can allow our spirituality to grow faster, if we use those time as lessons we needed to learn. I also like what you said about a circle of friends is magical: "a circle of friends is magical, and is just like a magic circle, where energies interact in a kind of safe place where nurturing also means being confronted to what you don t know so you can grow new leaves and nurturing can keep going like the eternal turn of the wheel." That is such a deep part of my belief also. There is a fire that burns eternally for those who seek out their spiritual path and to approach that fire is very enlightening and healing.

Gem, I agree that it is so important for one to be true to themselves. In my circle of friends it is those who are true to themselves who give not just me, but themselves much enhancement to our friendship and our spirituality.
Truth and honesty is a good foundation to build friendship on. It is true that those who help and guide you become more than friends. When people start as friends and that friendship grows into something more, then that is a beautiful and spiritual experience. It would be very difficult to help others if one is not true to their own self.
Being willing to go with a friend on a spiritual journey of profound enlightenment is one of the most beautiful things I can think of.

I am thinking more and more lately that a circle of friends is like a string of beads. Each bead on that strand enhances the others, and by doing so also enhances itself.

Lori, I don't have any faith, and i don't despise any faith. I think that's a pretty balanced viewpoint. I have unfortunately learned to stay away from faith-based christians in this town, though. Lesson, hard, learned.
