This week's article discusses the importance of biblical counseling taking the language of the culture and pointing the counselee to the language of the Bible. The article also asks a question: "Does the Bible address psychological and/or mental disorders?" The answer is a resounding "YES!"
Biblical counseling is so much more than "take two scripture, pray about it, and call me in the morning." Not to minimize the power of the Word or prayer, but biblical counseling (done right) addresses the root cause of problems (as played out in patterns and themes in one's life) and seeks to cultivate a relationship with Christ where psychology addresses the fruit (the behaviors) and seeks to point to a variety of "causes" to affirm the reason behind those causes (one's childhood, parents, ex, etc.).
Agree ot disagree check out this week's article and let me know what you think?
