The first book "On Death and Dying" was very good, but it is geared more towards helping and understanding people who are terminally ill and in the process of dying. Sometimes there are months or even years before a person will pass on. It was a good book if this is a situation close to you, but it did not pertain to my situation of losing someone young quite suddenly.

The second book "On Life After Death" was EXCELLENT, and it brought about a strong emotional response within me. It is proof positive that our loved one's spirit lives on and goes to a happy and loving place without pain or suffering. It is a highly recommended read for anyone suffering from grief, and who may be questioning if this is really the end for their loved one. This book brought me a lot of comfort and assurance.

Elisabeth Kubler-Ross was a PhD who worked with dying patients of all ages, many of whom were children. Her research and the seminars she conducted for medical students can only benefit all of us if we just take the time to educate ourselves, and if we open our minds to the answers right in front of us.
