They are adorable. I was noticing that the toenails of the ferret look like the spotted skunks. The striped skunks has different toenails that the spotted skunk, they do look more like a ferrets.

I had two ferrets many years ago. They are charming and so fun to own! I purchased both of mine from a local pet store who knew the breeder. This is one reason I find it so beneficial to KNOW your local pet store vs. a big box version ... not to say you can't get a quality pet from a large chain pet store.

I usually buy my ferrets at Petco in Sioux Falls. At least since we moved to South Dakota. We don't have a lot of choices here. Can't even find a decent assortment of groceries. I have to buy a lot of stuff online. They are all Marshall Ferrets. We have had pretty good luck with Marshall. Though I don't agree with spaying or neutering so young.

Yes, they are cute and funny. So affectionate, at least when they aren't too busy playing or sleeping. Here is a link to my ferret series. Ferret guides

Guess im quite blessed as my son bred his ferrets and had two different sets of baby ferrets at same time, he had 18 babies going on, oh oh did he have his work cut out though. He gave me my very first ferret Ber I call him, and from there I acquired another one, my husband got me that from a mate he knew, she's a beauty my Rosie, albino, then another baby albino Rene, then just a few months back I got another from my son, his mate gave him a baby he had bred from his ferrets, and I bought another one just like him to keep him company, so that was Bonzo and Bobbi, that makes me 5 ferrets all told now, and what a job I had introducing them with Rosie, my little darling one who's so friendly with me, just wanted to kill them. It has taken me many months, with patience, to get them all together, but eventually mastered it and they are all a happy pack now, Hallelujah. My son and I are going to breed two of ours together next Spring, God willing, so no doubt there will be a couple more added to my pack then. It all calls for bigger premises which Ive already explained to the hubby, so a bigger shed is on the agenda for then. Brilliant, I just love them all so much. I bring Ber in quite a lot, he loves to come into the house and play around then have a sleep in the dogs bed. The other two gills also get in sometimes but they a more inquisitive and get into things they shouldnt. What wonderful pets they do make though.

Oh, I see, of course. Ferret kits and baby ferrets are the same thing. I did a double take when I read what looked like the IKEA version which you had to assemble yourself. I know it didn't make sense, but it was a very surreal image!

Your emails caused me some sleepless nights. I am so glad you got the pack together. Did you come up with a secret? Though I did enjoy our conversations smile Keep them coming!

My naked ferret just started getting fur again after over a year! She has totally changed colors. I didn't know if it was adrenal disease -> no according to the vet. Maybe she has been confused by the South Dakota weird weather. I saw geese flying NORTH Tuesday! Maybe, she wanted a new color fur coat, who knows. I am glad she is getting fur I have been buying her long underwear! I am serious!

I would love to have more access to animals here in South Dakota, it is rather depressing. The highlight of my life is driving to Sioux Falls to look in pet stores. There is a shop in Mitchell but they don't allow me to take photos, the others do. I kind of figured there has to be reason why they don't want photos hence free advertisement. So I shy away from that shop. What the hay, Sioux Falls is only another hour away. I am sure there are some people that are sure I have at least one of every animal there is but the truth is, I do not smile

Mona I am always tinkering with search engines which is why I used the two titles. I stress if I am not on the first page of search engines. Surreal is good, I think. smile Glad you dropped by.

There is 365.242199 days in a year. Why oh why do my ferrets when brought into the play room jump backwards and fall off the bed? You would think they'd learn with everything else they have figured out, will beyond what people give them credit, they still fall off the bed. They are playing with me, but still...
