Sirene - I DO know what you mean about bonds being different with each cat . . . or dog or human, even. That's what love is all about, isn't it?

The bond you feel toward this lost cat doesn't mean you won't find another that you bond to very strongly, too. It just won't be the same. The bond will be different because you can never replace a lost love but it will be equally and freshly rewarding.

When that time comes, I wish you the wisdom of heart to know that you wouldn't be able to fully appreciate the bond with the next cat if you hadn't had this lost one to teach you how. He's lost to your physical senses but he's always going to be a live and vibrant part of your spirituality. Honor her life, forgive but do not forget the person you suspect of foul play, and don't let the experience harden you.

I say forgive but do not forget. Forgiveness is for you. It's a personal signal that says it's time to focus energies elsewhere because staying here is sapping my time, energies, spirit, chi, whatever, and this person isn't worth that much of me.

Don't forget. If someone gives you reason to doubt their integrity or motivations, remember that because it becomes your first line of defense against further wrongs. It will help you steer your way through all future interactions with this person, helping you to make the correct choices about how to deal with him or her the next time. Remember to be cautious around this person, especially when small animals are around, because s/he's already given you reason for doubt but let the anger go before it hurts you too much further. Keep your distance but release the pain.

Forgive for your benefit; remember for your future well being.

And be patient. God will send the purrfect cat into your life at the perfect moment, when you least expect it. Don't go looking for a replacement; that never works. The right cat will find you.

Could that be what reincarnation's all about?

Oh Sirene, I'm so very sorry for your loss.

I do believe that animals go on though, just like everything else.

I even believe that pets can reincarnate.

I had an experience once working with a client - out of the blue I saw this cat with her - and it wanted her to know that he was okay. I told her about it, and she asked what color it was. I said "It looks like a calico - but more like you'd see in a film negative - black and brown."

She just looked at me with these huge eyes, and said her cat had been a "reverse calico" which is all blacks and browns.

I'd had no knowledge of this cat, and didn't know she'd even lost one.

So I totally believe.

My thoughts are with you... losing a pet is hard. (((hugs)))

Death is cruel in that we become separated from our loved ones. Animals are blessed creatures when they cross over. They can choose to reincarnate. But you will know her.

And you will feel her spirit around you until she does. Your bond is so strong that surely she will opt to stay close to you in spirit.

The not knowing what happened can torment you so you must come to the point where you can release any guilt or responsibility or suspicions to divine providence. Things happen for a reason. They truly do. She would not want you to suffer like this. She came to bring you joy and love. She would not want her departure from earth to bring you pain.

You and she were blessed to be connected on earth and are blessed in your everlasting eternal bond. You will catch glimpses of her now and then, feel her comforting presence...just know that she now lives in a realm of peace and safety. If you want to see more of her, you must vibrate at an energy level where she now exists which is pure joy. If you stay sad and depressed, she will have to lower her vibration to come to you and that is not easy for her as her spirit is pure joy.

Hope that doesn't offend anyone here. If you don't share this understanding, just ignore me. smile

It hurts to lose a beloved pet. It hurts because we love them so much and they are only love and joy. When they leave us, they take so much of us with them. Until we remember that we aren't really separated at all.

I agree Sandy,

Parting, be it a loved one or beloved pet (they're one in the same really), you never get over it, you just learn, day by day, a way to adjust to the absence of an extension of your Soul.

I'm beginning to see a pattern here of Muses smile

Lori, Deanna, Anna, Sandy, Sirene, 1 Alone, Phyllis, Jane...poets in mind, body and Spirit and I feel because of such sensitivities and fluency of the Soul it surpasses barriers that might otherwise present itself in a physical means.

How wonderful would it be for that type of integration in lieu of a battle for control?

I agree: when these beautiful creatures chose to reincarnate, you will recognize them. Truly, I'm witness to this.

AND thanks for the kind words Elliese.

THINGS THAT ARE ALIKE IN THEIR INNERMOST NATURE ATTRACT ONE ANOTHER.

I also am amazed at how many of us, even from quite different forums here, all share this spiritual kinship - I would go so far as to call it Love, Wisdom and Understanding.

Further more, after spending over 70 years of my life with people who considered me to be either stupid, mental, heretical, or just a plain 'freak' - now, in my closing years, I have been placed in contact with you beautiful souls, whom I am so blessed to have in my life at last. It is a GIFT!

I am still stunned in sheer amazement.

I am with FAMILY,
I am HOME!
