That wasent a happy ending...go figure it would end in an unpredictable fashion. Despite my initial hate of the ending as it was playing, i ended up liking it towards the end. Now that i think about it, thats probably the best ending ive ever seen to a game..or probably movie for that matter. Sometimes a happy and sad ending is better than just a happy one i guess. Japanese tell the best stories. so now that i got that off my chest, and you all probably think i'm a super geek for starting to analyze the ending, i have two questions.
1. Was Tidius an unsent also? i'm not really sure, otherwise he would have disapeared with auron. So... why is it that he has to disapear at the end...other than to make sure final fantasy x-2 will send everyone diving into their wallets to buy it to see what happens next.
2. How the hell did they fit that entire game and all those movies on one disc...the other ones were on 2-4 discs.

Well I know one of those Tidus wasn't unsent, he was a dream, a long time a ago there was a war between Bevelle and Zanarkand (the real one) but bevelle was so powerfull that Zanarkand was sure to lose the war. So the summoners and people who were left over became a faith, that faith only did one thing, dream the Zanarkand as they knew it and let it live on in there dreams. Tidus is born in that dream since he is only seventeen and the dream and the war started thousands of years ago. But when Jecht/Sin came to the Dream Zanarkand and took Tidus with him he became more real by the minute because of the new real world he was in, Spira... So was Jecht, he was also a dream only they both were touched by Sin and became reality instead of a dream, that's why Tidus comes back in FF-X2
And for the CD question?! That's probably just the advance in technology, like the DVD discs, not sure though
And hell yeah the ending is cool!!! I feel like watching it again, maybe I should go beat it now

Hmm, I think Auron was an unsent and not a dream, but anyway, if you go back to the temples all the fayth's or whatever give you hints about what's going to happen.

great now i am even more confused...if tidius was touched by sinand became real...that means that when he jumped and gave his old man a five on the way down...that also means he plummeted 50,000 feet to his death too right? 8p
and yes i saw him swim up from the water at the end...but still, a fall from that high and water is like a rock...tidius is dead forever now

Come on you guys! Pay attention to the storyline! Anyway, they never did say what happened to Tidus, we're just going to have to play ff x2 to find out. And since he was fading in and out at the end (yuna went right thru him, remember) he probably faded in and out, and didn't hit the water like a rock. And video games are full of people making amazing leaps that they can't possibly survive, and then going on to do it again!

The reason FFX was on 1 disc compared to Final Fantasy 7 - 9 being on at least 3, is simple.
FFVII - FFIX were on CD's since that was all the PS1 could handle.
FFX was a DVD, since the PS2 now has DVD capabilities, where the PS1 does not.
Given that a DVD can hold at least 4GB compared to a CD's 700MB, it's not really suprising that they got FFX on 1 disc...it's all down to the disc type.
