Hi Everyone:

Did you always want to be a nurse?

Or did you just fall into this field due to nothing else being available?

What are the "pros" & "cons" for you working as a nurse?

Have you run across a SPECIAL nurse during one of your visits to the hospital or doctor's office?

If yes, what made him or her special?

When I had my fibroids removed, words can never express how "special and loved" I felt during this outpatient surgery. I could see that ALL of the medical team cared. I made sure I filled out their feedback form and thanked each as I recovered and could think straight.

And yes, before this surgery, I have run across cold and rude nurses(lol).

Hi all I ahd my 7th birthday in the Childrens Hospital in Syney Aust (now closed down) I spent 6 months in hospital and I can remember vividly some of the stay. there was an awesom nurse - Stephenson and a Doctor Stephenson - unrelated but they left an imprint on a frightened child.There were also some very mean awful nurses. It was at that time in my life that I decided to be a nurse and I decided I would be one of the sort that went the extra yard to care for people. I am currently a RN, Midwife with a certificate in special care nursery - That is my passion, these sick and prem babies and their families, How long have I been a nurse? Since 1974. Cheers Gammy

Yes, I hate hospitals and have been very fortunate to not be in one except 25 years ago to have my daughter.
