Liney, it wasn't pointless. It's actually good to know there's someone else like me out there! To each their own, but sadly many couples purchased homes that required to full time incomes , or lied about incomes ( how anyone thought they could lie about income and not lose their house is beyond me.) Who knows!
I'm a "bit" late in responding but life got busy.
Very interesting that you mentioned homes requiring two full-time incomes because lo and behold, I lost my job in October. Don't worry, I was spiraling fast into depression and a nervous breakdown because of it so the lay off was the best thing ever!!
Interestingly as well, some of my friends responses after the usual "I'm so sorry. That sucks!" response to my news was, "Well, now is the perfect time for you to have a baby. You're home already." ARGH!!
Needless to say I did not get pregnant just because I'm home. Instead I changed careers and am now working two part-time jobs and am enjoying raising a totally adorable 17 week old puppy with my Boyfriend. We love, Love, LOVE our Fur-Kid!! We can't imagine anything else. Well, expect maybe another one in a few years. :)
