In my latest article, I discuss GMO's. There is a growing debate about whether we are healthier because of this type of bioengineering, or sicker.

What do you think?

Hi Rann!

Antibiotic resistance is up, food allergies are on the rise, etc, etc. Most, in my opinion, can be attributed to the antibiotics that are regularly given to livestock and to the additives in food.

I was truly saddened when I read an article that stated Whole Foods was going to allow some GMO food in the store.

[color:#CC33CC]The problem with GMO foods is that they are creating foods that humanity has never eaten. They are altering phytonutirents, that is the nourishing compounds in plants that goes way beyond vitamins and minerals... so we are actually eating foreign substances... Learn about what phytonutrients are and you will understand better. also the companies that make GMO seed (monsanto) are using terror tactics to control farmers. They sue farmers when GMO type seed shows up in their normal or even organic crops to no fault of their own. They want patents on all the worlds seed supply...they want to control everyting and all farmers and exactly what you eat and the lobby against freedom in food choice and they want to control the small local farmer. When we invaded Irag the US Army escorted monsanto into Iraqs seed storage facilities and they took it all, seed developed for the specific conditions of that arid land by those farmers over many decades....now Iraqi people can only get GMO seed from them And now recently they have won the abiltity fo sell GMO alfalfa in the USA so now the cattle you eat will have fed on GMO hay which will make your meat not normal IMHO they are truely evil.[/color]

Whoa!

I didn't know that about Monsanto. I believe you about the threats on small farmers, I was wondering not if, but when.

Good luck to you! Thanks for the info.

I firmly believe that anytime "man" starts messing with what God provided for us we are in trouble. How can GMO's possibly be better whe man takes stuff out? I remember many years ago getting frustrated when "they" were telling us how good margarine is and how bad butter is for us. I felt how can you improve nutritionally one something as natural as butter. Now they have found that I was right. Butter and natural fats are necessary for a healthy body and the chemicaland adulterated foil cause cancer +++ you name it man-made oils Don't help

Hi! I totally agree. I eat real butter, and although it is high in fat, since it is a natural substance, I know my body can digest it easier, and assimilate it better for it's use.
I just have to be moderate about using it.

I agree with you 100%!

Thanks for your input.
