Can anyone tell me how to get back links from high PR websites as some of the websites only approved websites with high PR.

Offering a guest post on their site if your topics are related is a good way to get a back link. Stipulate that you will write unique content and would like to leave a short bio with a link to your site, and you will allow them to guest post on your site as well.

This is a good strategy. I have a boomer living website and get offers all the time for high quality, original content in exchange for a link from my site within the article. Since it's usually a topic of interest to my readers, I pretty much always accept.

I haven't done any postings on other people's websites but you can do squidoo pages and ezine articles also and add your links to the articles you post. Squidoo, I think is pretty well ranked.

Those are great tips BoomerGal. Some content sites allow links in their content. Have to make sure to read the terms and conditions as some sites limit what types of links can be used.

Is that as in "baby boomer?" That should be a profitable niche.

Yes, that's "baby boomer." As it turns out, not very profitable-lol. Apparently the people who come to my website aren't really shoppers, although I do have lots of good info on health, senior discounts, nostalgia and other things of interest. I get quite a bit of traffic but it isn't one of my big money makers.

Strangely though, I get lots of offers for free products, books, etc to review and write about through that blog. I've not really had any other others for other blogs.

So I guess maybe it all comes out even.

As a freelance writer I've come across job listings in the last few years that paid well for that topic. One job listing paid as much as $1 a word for articles of interest to baby boomers.

Good luck with your blog!

One website that helps match up guest bloggers to boost PR is:

Bloggerlinkup.com -- I really like their service.

I use Traffic Travis to search for high PR sites. There, you can find article directories, forums, blogs with high PR that you can include in your backlink strategy. There's a free version, if you want to try it our first.
