Thanks my little inspiration for the day. You don't know how much your posts to this forum help I have been drinking one cup of regular coffee the last couple of days. I've woken with a headache, and that wee bit of caffeine makes all the difference. After that one cup, on to decaf or teeccino This morning - coffee with cream and grapes for breakfast. Okay, nothing like coffee to make tart grapes even more tart LOL!!! But they were good! Glad things are working out Angela. And super glad no migraines with that absence of coffee.... sending coffee hugs your way

Ahhhh you ladies are so sweet!!!! Thank for that morning boost Woke up with a bit of a headache again, but this strong coffee is helping it to go away. It's supposed to be over a 100 degrees here today! Oy! So I'm happily enjoying sitting here with the door open, and sipping this hot coffee. Because later... all drinks will be iced!

I haven't decided what's for breakfast yet.
How about you? What came with your coffee this morning?

My favorite Saturday breakfast is a cottage fried new red potato, egg over easy, pumpernickel bread with butter and blackberry jelly, and fresh melon. It was yummy! Now, I'm going to get my coffee, so that we can sit down with a cup together.
I'll be back so that we can chat.

Ahh! Strong black coffee!
It is hot here, too. Yesterday some friends, who live in a small town about 45 minutes south of here, came up to have an evening with us. They stood up with us 32 years ago when we were married. Anyway, we went to a Mexican restaurant that has vegetarian fare. After a lovely meal, we braved the heat for an outdoor concert. The heat index was about 105.
Olathe has free concerts in the park during the summer. Last night it was Brewer and Shipley, a local favorite for more than 40 years, and the Sam Bush Band. We found places in the shade to park our chairs. After the sun went down there was a cool breeze. It seemed almost cool--until we had to walk back to the car. Uggh! It was nasty, hot, and humid.
In two weeks we have Keb' Mo' coming. I am really looking forward to that. I've seen him on the Playing for Change videos, and just love his work.
As Angela says, "Now, your turn..."

Ooh Connie, that is hot! Humidity just makes it worse. We enjoyed sitting on our patio last night. I have a fountain, and the breeze was just perfect. We had a friend over who was kind enough to keep asking me to play something on guitar LOL!!! I'm such a ham! We have concerts in the park here too, but I haven't been. A couple of years ago Miss Stevie Nicks showed up a show and performed a couple of songs. I can't remember who was playing there that she knew... but when I found out I was pretty jealous!! She's one of my greatest influences - I have loved her music since 1980!

Stevie Nicks rocks! Even my late father-in-law, who would be about 90 now, enjoyed Miss Nicks.

She's amazing!!! After that post, I had to play her on my ipod. Now I'm listening to "Edge of Seventeen."
