I'm sipping coffee listening to parrots. Their vocalizations are music to my ears.

They are our parrots...and they think they are wild! Our first lovebird was caught in the wilds of our backyard. She had come down for a drink at our goldfish pond, and she got her head stuck in the net. At the time, she was just a baby bird. A year later, we got her a cockatiel for company.
When our son moved back in, so he can study capoeira, he brought his lovebird--a truly wild thing. Then, we got her a companion at our local bird rescue, the lovely and charming BellaPickles. Bella was never going to find a home, due to her vicious nature. We just brought her into the Biter Brigade fold, and she's been a joy. Now, when our son moves out again, his lovebird won't have a solitary life.

Quaker Parrots can live in the temperature extremes of Kansas, but they are illegal to have. Missouri doesn't ban them.

Bella Pickles is the classic green with a red forehead and reddish chest. Her BFF Cheepshot Davidson looks like her, except Cheep's throat is rose colored, while Bella's is kind of a sunset orange.

Awww... how sweet!!! I'll have to go google lovebird images so I can see what they look like - Awww!!! They're cute!!
I fell in love with a bird at a local pet store once. He was so lovely!!! He was grey with a pink head. He was also $600, and the cage was like $700. Hubby was against it - weird, huh LOL!
He was a really friendly bird though. I had these romantic notions of a bird as a companion, on my shoulder while I was writing HA HA.....

Good morning Deanna! I have my cup of coffeee. My husband makes lovely coffee.
We do have one bird that perches on my shoulder while I work. Then, he gets bored and goes down to my fingers, the ones I use to mouse with, and starts dancing on my fingers. He makes it really hard to use a mouse! His name is Snickers Burdette, and he's a little cockatiel boy. He's sweet and kind of nutty, just like a Snickers should be.

Aw Snickers Burdette!!! How cute!!
Mmmmm... wouldn't snickers coffee be yummy!!!
My husband and I used to get Banana Coffee years ago from Gloria Jeans Coffee (that was before we had Starbuck's all over the place down here). It was so much fun picking out flavored coffee! My fave was the chocolate raspberry.
This morning I'm enjoying coffee with sweet creamer creamer. And I had gluten free waffles with faux cream cheese spread (it's a soy blend - very yummy).
How was your 4th?

Good morning fellow coffee lovers,
This morning I'm enjoying regular coffee with sweet cream - iced! It's delicious! And so cold and refreshing. I have my back door open to enjoy a wee bit of a breeze - but it's warming up (with humidity) very quickly! I think the cooler will probably be on within the hour LOL!!!
Breakfast - so far purple grapes. Insanely sweet!!! I'll probably follow up later with a couple of boiled eggs.
How's your morning?
