Hey Editor in Training GG! OMG the uses for DE are truly endless. It is nature's blessing to be sure. Now, if people will allow it to continue to be that way then maybe it's a small sign that we are not all completely insane.

It is great to find green ways to do things. It makes you feel good about yourself that you're thinking about -more- than yourself.

I always use DE in my pet food.

It's great in pet food. It keeps the bugs out and is a parasitic for your animal. If you're adding it fresh to dry food put a little water on it first. Best way to coat dry food is to put your food in a storage bin, shake it, and let it sit for 24 hours. If the food appears too "powdery" add a little water or olive oil and stir.

Best of all - a little goes a long way! Once bugs are exposed - they're exposed. No need to go overboard with DE.

I love your knowledge on the subject. I have been using the DE and it really seems to be doing the trick. I have to keep using it though because of all the different life stages of the fleas.

I still have not figured out how to deal with the gnats.

Oh, and Deb, I adore Farscape. it's in my top five fave shows of all time.

The DE has been working so well against insects this summer - i am astounded. How come everyone does not do this? Why do we spend so much money and effort on the expensive poisons?

Summer will be coming around again and I am armed with my DE. Right now i am mixing it in the dried cat food i give to my pets and a few feral cats in the area.

I spent some time in my RV Serenity yesterday and i found it full of fleas. Time to break out the DE!

Have you found it useful for bug infestations?

Using the DE in the cat food has been working wonderfully. It's almost time to pick up some more DE to use around the studio - there are ants everywhere. It's that time of year.

i am about to have a guest in the RV this week, so am putting down a bunch of DE tomorrow to make sure it is ant, flea or gnat free for her. Just in case.

I'll also add more to the cat's food, to the feral cat's food and more about the foundation to the studio. Ants are exploring everywhere!
