Hello bailavis,
Avoid foods that are high in saturated fats and trans- fats. Hamburgers, french fries are big NO's. I generally avoid, too much processed foods. Read the labels . Check references.
I'd like to add that to reduce cholesterol you also have to increase your intake of certain foods, like vegetables, foods rich in fibers...oats, whole grains, etc.

Hi, Take a look at a few of the articles on the Body Care site for tips. Specifically the Spring Body Make Over Article which advises cutting out toxic chemicals, reducing saturated fats, and eating more fresh fruits and vegetables. And of course you should ask your doctor or health care provider for a list of healthy foods.

Anything that comes in a package or is highly processed and of course fast food and junk food. They all have trans fat which is the worst of all the fats for you overall health not to mention it's why so many young people have muffin top too.

In addition to foods that you should avoid, you must also work towards taking foods to reduce your cholesterol. You can start by taking garlic or garlic pills.
Remember, reducing cholesterol should be approached holistically, i.e, avoiding foods that increase it and taking in foods that help reduce it. And yes, exercise is VERY important too.
Take care! :)

Hello,
To reduce cholesterol, which is not fat, it is more like balloons of oil, for it is the outer cover of all your 72 billion cells in your body, so you do not want your HDL (good cholesterol) level to go below 250, Your LDL (bad cholesterol)level can drop to 1oo.
Get those figures first before you even think about lowering your cholesterol. Avoid trans fats, that is any oil that has heated over 120 degrees. If you have to fry anything use coconut oil or butter the only oils that do not turn into trans fats.

Remove all milk - all - and replace with coconut milk. you will lose weight and lower cholesterol.
Check ingredients in items you purchase. Do not purchase any with milk or milk derivative. no cheese, no yogurt.
Use coconut milk in cooking and in coffee.
You should see results in the first week.
And of course, don't eat red meat and increase salad and fish intake. Also stay away from vegetable and canola oils. Use instead olive and coconut oils.
I hope this is helpful.
