You know? I've deduced because peripheral vision isn't a direct visual line (you're not paying true attention to it), well it's kind of like when you're driving or washing dishes spacing out and you get a flash in your head of something happening with a friend or something and it turns out something that ended up coming to pass.
You're right too about the "freaking people out" thing. When I was younger, 10-18, I would just BLURT. It was a bubbly type of thing though. I mean it was so darn natural and I wouldn't even stick around for a response. Now?
I remember maybe 10 years ago. I was at a reunion. It wasn't mine, but the person I was with.
I came from across the parking lot with a side dish for the buffet and was alone. I passed my friend and just blurted:
"Ya, that's probably right...Why I'm not going into business cooking for people? I never really thought about it. Maybe that is the reason."
The reunion was outdoors on about 1/2 an acre of land. I was rushing from the car parking lot to get to the other side where the tent was. It was crowded and really loud music playing, with the base and everything. I didn't slow down and was bumping into people saying excuse me, sorry...
About 3 feet away from the cooking line, I just stopped like I hit a brick wall and thought what just happened, shook it off and got the food ready.
Later my friend said, "So and so thinks you're wierd." I'm like and that's unusual why? But anyway, they had been talking about just that.
They asked if I knew what they said and I had no idea but what they had said was, if I started cooking for money, I wouldn't enjoy something that came naturally so much.
