Aww Lori, my condolences on your losses! Losing a loved one (2 or 4 legged) is never easy!
When I lost Scully, my golden retriever, I wrote a letter to her, tied it to a balloon and released it.

thanks. Scully is the sweet faced golden, yes that's my Sable in the middle (still going strong at 15) and my *sniffle Libby. Sable has outlived them both and I miss them dearly. Poor Scully got cancer at 8 yrs old and by the time it was discovered, it was too late for treatment.
I still blame myself for Libby's death at only 10 yrs old. She had IBS. I gave her a bath that last day and went to work (one of the few days I couldn't take her with me.)
I came home for lunch and found that for some reason she'd started eating a bath towel- it got stuck and she suffocated!! Don't wanna talk about that anymore.

Lori, did you see that thread about the dogs/pets in the Wicca forum? I think you will enjoy reading it.

Lori, that's rough...I lost my boyfriend of 5yrs and I had a shih tzu I was waiting to take home. I swear, this little guy has given me such happiness. I do not know WHAT I will do when I lose him. It's inevitable, they're such loyal loving beings...my heart hurts for you.

Lori,

I completely understand. We had to put down our beloved Lucy on Friday. She was a beautiful Cocker Spaniel. I found her on the side of the road 1 1/2 ago. She was very sick and at the end there was nothing left to do but stop her suffering. On Friday morning I was awoken to her screaming. She had a major stroke and was left paralyzed. I can not get the images out of my mind.

I know she is in a better place but I miss her dearly. My home feels so empty now. I pray that each day that passes my heart will heal as will yours.

Time is what we both need.

Giselle
