I am trying to manage a lot of stress now. My boyfriend just passed away and I am in the grieving process, which is hard enough. I can't always get to sleep at night for the past few days, and I often wake up during the night thinking about him. Sleep is suffering now, and yesterday I noticed a cold sore popped out on my upper lip.

If that were not enough, I am struggling financially and looking for work. There is also the eventual move I will have to make to go across the country within the next several months to a year. I don't have family here where I am now to help me prepare for this move, and my friends don't live close either. In a lot of ways I am alone.

I am a bit overwhelmed right now but trying not to let it get to me. I deal with it all by taking walks, talking with friends and family on the phone, posting here on BellaOnline, writing in my journal, etc. I take one day at a time because it is all I can manage.

Cassie, no stove and no tub. frown Just a microwave oven and a rally big sink.

There is a tub in the unused mobile on the property but that is really not an option.

Cassie, one day at a time is really the best thing anyway for someone in times of major stress. I found that posting here helps me also.

Dear Cassie -

Take it one day at a time. Every day things will get a little bit better. I'm sorry for your loss. You will find ways to manage the hurdles, one at a time.

I have had a really big stressy week. I am trying to remind myself to REALLY take a look at my calendar at the end of each week, and think better about the week ahead.

If there are days coming up that have big stressful events, I am seeing that I need to plan for no-stress-days after that. This last week i accomplished a major and stress inducing task, and then was wiped. Unfortunately I did not plan in any down time, so i was poorly equipped to handle the next two day's stressors. When an emergency came up, i was running (but barely) on empty.

Yes your no stress day is a great idea and one we can all learn from. Thank you for sharing that!

Life will always have hurdles. The more we can have a supportive community and coping plans, the better we can weather them.
