mistalia, I know how you feel. I enjoy the occasional drink, but bars are definitely not my scene, and neither my husband nor myself follow sports at all. I don't have many friends and often feel like an outsider. Whenever I start to feel down about it, I try focusing on the fact that I am who I want to be and that I shouldn't feel bad just because others haven't made the same choices as me. That said, we're all human and we do want to have relationships with others. People like us just have to be a bit more patient and look more closely to find others to be friends with. You mentioned wanting to take a cooking class - I think that sounds like a great idea and a chance to meet people who share an interest with you. The topic of yoga can only hold a conversation for so long, but I could talk about food & cooking forever! :-)

Book clubs are great--get a group of people together or join one already in progress (you can probably check online, like at meetup.com or some similar site. OR a local bookstore may have info). You decide on a book and you all read it and then discuss it after. I was in one for awhile and loved it. I couldn't keep pace with the other readers though. :) Come to think of it, Meetup.com would have alot of groups you could join. Someone from my city just formed a childfree group and we haven't all met yet but hopefully in the next month or so! A cooking class IS a great idea. I've always wanted to do that!
