Mine are pretty bad right now because I'm not getting enough sleep. They're also hereditary. I do some work with StriVectin so I've been trying out their Eye Concentrate. It takes 8 weeks for improvement to start showing so I'll let you know how that goes. My nutritionist says that eating a balanced, and nutritious meal also helps reduce dark circles. What do you use?

Hi SpaGirl85, right now I am not eating balanced meals, so I am looking tired all the time.

Hope StriVectin works for you and I am presuming you are listening to your nutritionist and eating balanced meals.

Yes, please let us know how you are doing.

Eating better is something I'm working very hard to achieve. As far as my dark circles, it's a little to early to tell still but the skin under my eyes already feels smoother. I've been getting 8 hrs of sleep as well so combined with my other efforts I don't any reason to not see drastic changes soon.

I use Omorovicza Reviving Eye Cream. It has vitamin K which diminishes dark circles. The cream also helps in minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Lack of sleep really does contibute to dark circles. I know from experience. I just learned that coughing can cause it. Coughing can cause broken blood vessels so it is actually a bruise.

I like Clinique All About Eyes. It seems to work best when you use it every day.

I didn't know that coughing could break blood vessels, but it makes sense. Especially if the cough is intense.

And getting enough sleep is definitely a factor. When I consistently get a full night's sleep, I notice that the skin on my face (not just under the eyes) looks brighter.

That can happen with prolonged and forceful coughing. But if it's a common ocurrence then it can be a sign of other things such as low vitamin C levels. Always best to see a medical practitioner if it happens a lot

Many dark circles are hereditary, which mine are. There are lots of tips to help shrink the puffy eyes and make the dark circles less noticeable though.

Here is an article about how to reduce bags and circles under the eyes.
