Have you ever done your own readings and it was accurate? What were your feelings on the reading?

Our readings are usually very accurate - just not in the way we expected!

Lol Ian, I get that too when I read for myself. Sometimes what I Want to hear and what I Need to hear are two different things.

Ok, I have had this head cold for almost two weeks now but my head is starting to clear up and the pressure is going away, finally. SO I did a reading (normally I wouldn't have due to the lack of focus) and all kinds of things were coming out of those cards. Has anyone had this happen if you did a reading while not feeling well?

I read somewhere it's a very powerful cards and must be kept under the pillow for safekeeping. Has anyone ever tried the runes. It is also the same. I find it fascinating because I read somewhere that it will take effect or becomes powerful when it is made from nature. At first when I was doing it for a friend and I didn't know that it was taking effect. The results were also almost perfect. My friend was shocked of the revelation and she said they were true.

To be honest; I am still memorizing the cards. Let me explain, What I get from the cards sometimes isn't always what the Book says it should be. I have done readings and have blown myself away as to what I have gotten for a specific card and had to go to the Book to look up what it is supposed to mean, yeah my interpretation didn't even come close but yet the person I was reading for knew exactly what I had just said. One even laughed a bit when I had to look in the book, thank goodness it was a friend. So I always go with what comes to me. But to answer your question, it took me almost a year to memorize the book meanings and as I said previously I have to go back now and again to see the book meanings since I get some crazy, bizzare meanings and even though I have memorized what the book says that card should mean, I go back.

As to the runes, yes I have done runes and have made my own also one set out of bloodstone and another set out of blue agate. Now that I think about it I made a set a long time ago out of pieces of wood. I trimmed them to make little disk and carved with a wood burner the symbols. I gave those to a friend since he loved them so much.

hi karen , some people can read peoples futures thinking its the cards that are doing it, when in fact it is something else that guides them? just by concentrating on someone you are reading for can bring you future knowledge about whats going to happen? what i mean is you look at the cards and think the answers you are giving the enquirer are what you have learnt from tarot books, when it is divine intervention that is providing your thoughts. i read palms but something else takes over me and its not the line meanings that give me the info? it comes from a divine source.i dont need anything if the info is in my head i just repeat it? i believe we all have this so called power, its not coming from the afterlife it comes from god as we are like him. i do not believe that anyone can contact the dead neither can they contact us? the souls are in another dimension and we cant penetrate this unless we have a near death experience where the soul returns home. if any medium says they can speak to the dead then they are fooling themselves, i would challenge any of them to a test ? i wont get into an argument with the likes of john edward in america or any british mediums because i know better not to, i have yet to meet anyone of them to predict the future, have you ever heard of a medium winning the lottery with info from the deceased, anyway karen best of luck with your tarots.

Hi Skyelaw,
You make an interesting point, I haven't heard of any medium winning the lotto and I agree it is a gift from God. THank you for your post.

Yes. Accurate. Uncannily accurate.

I have to tell you that I was drawn to tarot when I was very young and they were fail-proof, but I got very frightened by that. I still stay away from them because religious writings warn against them. Mainly, I am concerned about the source of the incoming information and which energies are manipulating the outcomes of the spreads.

And yet...I am still fascinated by them.
