Mike and Molly is a new half hour sitcom on Monday nights. It's the story of an "obese" man and woman who meet at an Overeaters Anonymous group, hit it off and begin dating.

I love it!

I Like the show and as it is written by the folks who brought us "Two and a Half Men" and "Big Bang Theory" I am sure it will only improve with time.

I am curious to know who came up with the term "obese"? I find it to be a particularly offensive term..

The term obese is what has been used to describe the characters in a variety of media sources including the Marie Claire article I briefly mentioned which is why I put it in quotes. I don't particularly care for the term myself. But I hate "morbidly obese" even more.

No, the show with Keri Russell (Felicity) is Running Wilde. I've watched most of the episodes because I love her but I find Will Arnett <i>mostly</i> annoying.

The Fat Chic has a growing list of commentary on the whole Mike & Molly / Marie Claire / Maura Kelly debacle. I've stopped reading about it because I've been saturated with it via twitter and elsewhere. But if you haven't read much it's a good resource listing. Read The Fat Chic.

I have been loving this show...it's nice to see different types of people represented in prime time television. The show is improving as it finds its legs, which is nice. I am also loving that they're moving away from focusing on the "fat" aspect and moving more into approaching the story from a perspective of a developing relationship.

It's been disturbing to see so much criticism of the show, and most of it from people who admit they haven't even watched an episode.

I have to agree it is definitely improving! This past week's episode was one of the best.

That's usually the case isn't it.
