I love fried green tomatoes.

We used to wrap the green tomatoes in newspaper and place them in a cool place. We would put the wrapped tomatoes on the stairs to the attic. The tomatoes would ripen slowly, and we'd extend the harvest.

Hello everyone,

Lisa, did the container ones go down to the frost or did they prevail?

We container folk like to think we are strong y'know!

Cheers now

Yes all the tomato plants from last year did not make it. However, one of our pepper plants did - I'll post photos of that separately! We had two of them inside in the kitchen and our cat decided both were litter boxes. One succumbed to that but the other one we were able to rinse out enough to save it. It's making peppers now!
