I would have to say "Vertigo" or "Rebecca". I am torn, because Kim Novak is so good in Vertigo, but Rebecca is just such a great story.

The Birds is number one. I'm also strangely drawn to Psycho even though I STILL close my eyes at the shower scene...lol...

Oh you just hit another nerve! Love love love anything Hitchcock and as we well can see one cannot remake those either!

I will watch any Hitchcock anytime and I think I may have passed this on to my children too! They love them too!
He was brilliant in many ways.

When we were in school, we had a wonderful class on movies and our favorite part of the Hitchcock films was finding his appearance in each movie.

North by Northwest is my all time favorite though I really do like Vertigo as a close second.

A good double feature would be North by Northwest followed by the Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor comedy Silverstreak. A good Hitchcock drama followed by a good comedy with a similar plot line.

I'm not sure if its my favorite but we watched Spellbound this week and really enjoyed it.. the skiing scene was a crack up! You have to remember that back then very few people watching the big screne had ever skiied and Hitchcock was probably one of the first to attempt such a scene
