I started my Christmas knitting projects already. I'm doing 2 afghans, which seem to take forever! Also a scarf for my daughter's birthday in Sept.
I had to step back from knitting so much lately cuz my fingers and wrists were hurting.

Were you able to try the Hylarub? My wrist flared up this week. It's the 1st pain since last year when I found the product. 3 applications in 2 days and I was washing dishes all day yesterday and knitting until quite late without pain.
Thank goodness I don't have another wedding to help with until my daughter's in November. The preparations and clean up after 2 within 30 days has cut deep into my knitting time.
I did manage to complete a scarf for my future son-in-law. He's a tall one 6'4", so it's a LONG one in seed stitch. This past winter he used one I had knit for my daughter. It looked like he was wearing his little brother's.

I'm finishing up a pair of socks for my husband (they are wool so there is no hurry) and in the meantime I've been working on hats to donate, using up odds and ends of very soft yarn.
"lcp" I'm going to have to find the Hylarub, I've been just applying heat in the form of Michigan weather and that has worked great.

If you can't find Hylarub in your local health food store or vitamin shop, it can be ordered directly on their website. This isn't a link (haven't figured out how to do that) hyalogic.com
I've got about 40 hat/scarf sets completed for St Labre Indian School and about a dozen scarves for my Tribal Christmas party. With only 10 weeks until my daughter's wedding, I won't be starting any more until afterwards. I already have enough yarn to keep me busy next year. Maybe after the wedding I can try my hand at cables. We'll be visiting my MIL after the wedding and I WILL learn European style on that visit! She demonstrated how much faster it truly is while teaching me cables last year.

I am working on a pair of socks for my daughter that are made of Colinette jitterbug. I am also working on my project notebook for tkga master knitters beginner course. I am trying to make each stitch perfect, so it is slow. Real slow.
My next project is going to be a neck gaiter for my daughter. She has asthma so is supposed to keep her mouth area protected during winter. She picked out a lovely multi-color manos wool and silk blend yarn - I need to finish the socks so I cna do the gaiter before freeze-up where we live!!!!

Hi,
I am so proud. I have just finished an EZ yoked raglin sweater with a three color pattern, very simple but a pattern!
I have now to weave the underarm stitches...nervous,nervous...I don't want to ruin an otherwise good job with poor finishing. This is the first project I have made just for me, a real mile-stone.

I've only been knitting for a couple of years, and I consider myself a seasonal knitter {September-March}.
Last year I learned how to do a rib stitch. So this year I'm making a wrap with a rib stitch. It's going to be pretty - but WOW is it taking a long time!

I haven't done the drop stitch before but last week when I was in my local yarn store I found some beautiful Kudo yarn by Plymouth. They had a pattern also for a drop stitch scarf and the shop owner had knitted one up so I saw what it looked like.
I'm not really into drop stitch knitting. A great new look for making scarves for Christmas.
