I have just updated the free crochet pattern on my site to include photo instructions for the first row. For anybody who doesn't know, a moebius is a mathematical shape which has only one side and only one edge. As a result, every time you work one round of the scarf you add two rows to the width. This may sound complicated but in actual fact it is very simple to produce this effect - and with out sewing up seams! Mobius Hat and Scarf Set

Nice! I haven't never done one but may have to give this a try. Thanks for sharing.

I made several of these, only with knitting. They really are very easy and you could basically use any scarf type pattern, you just have to get the "twist" into it. Here is a photo of my knitted mobius scarf

Very pretty.
I assume that with knitting you have to make a flat piece then twist when you sew it up?

Enfys, I've edited a couple of your posts to make good links for you. As you see, joanj also has a direct link to the page she wants everybody to see. If you click on EDIT, you'll see the little bit of difference. Immediately after your URL (and before the all you have to do is type ]NAME OF YOUR PATTERN and then add the and your direct link is done. Feel free to practice with it.
You can do a search for UBB or BB Codes to help you with this. There are even some sites that allow you to play with the codes without messing up the site you want to use them in while practicing.
But, don't feel bad, I'll continue to help you out as I see any that need to be doctored up.

You can do it that way, or you can knit with circular needles and just twist it once before you join the ends of the first row. Then, just continue on and you don't have to worry about anything when you have the length you want. Just cast off and weave in ends and you're done. Very pretty.

Thank you again.
The problem is that I haven't made enough posts to use either html or the bb codes. They just don't come out properly when I use them.

Don't feel bad. I'm just learning these things and I should have known them a long time ago. Please feel free to contact me if you ever need help in the future. But, I'm trying to work on a few topics each day to see if there's anything I can do to help people with things such as broken links or answer a question that hasn't been responded to yet.
BTW, I really do enjoy your site and your patterns are really terriffic. I'm hoping that I can get my blog caught up as soon as I get through the training for this site. I really wish that I had a web site with my own domain but...maybe one day I'll get around to that. I already have too many irons in the fire.

I've crocheted a mobius scarf. It's a great look for the winter! Sometimes I'd put it on & then twist it over my head a 2nd time to sort of tighten it up to keep my neck warmer.
I live in Miami now, so I gave that scarf away.
