Thanks Phyllis. It took a full 14 days for the congestion to start breaking up and go away. But now I'm fine.

The ones I have are Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfate and Dexamethasone Opthalmic Suspension produced by Falcon Pharmaceuticals. I just call my vet and tell them I need them. No need for the kitty to be seen. The ointment is less costly, but I have a harder time getting enough in their eyes. I usually have some here all the time. I do have to get more though, this last run of goopy eyes about used up my supply.

these are pharmacueticals? Prescription? Are they antibiotics, then? Cold are usually from viruses, which antibiotics do not treat. Trying to work this out. smile

They are not prescription. I get them right from the vet. The first indication of upper respiratory in my cats is goopy eyes. I think it's called conjunctivitis. Seems if I get this under control it doesn't develop into anything else. All I can say is it works. If it goes too far and they start sneezing and have runny noses I get clavimox. Works like a champ.

That's great. I was given clavimox for John after his infection last weekend and I actually still have some from when he and William came down with an upper resp last month.

So I can save and use this stuff when i see goopy eyes coming on?
