Hi
My sister is expecting her second child and she's looking for names. Her first kid is a wonderful girl named Ella (m.n. is Louise). She doesn't know what's it gonna be yet, so all suggestions (b&g) are welcome. My sister is very fond of short names...
Thanks a lot!

I love the name Clara for a girl, very feminine but not very popular yet (disclosure here, one of my girls is named Clara.)
Does she like gender-neutral names? Some cute ones are Alex and Taylor...

Thanks for your suggestions! I like all of them, but I don't really like the combination Ella and Emma, I think it's 'too much'. But of course it's my sister and her dh who get to decide ;)
Lisa, I asked her and she doesn't want a gender-neutral name. But thanks anyway!

I love the name Clara. My Aunt Clara lived 101 years. The name is very old and very feminine.

My mother gave her three daughters short names ending in -a and rarely managed to call any of us by the right name, except by chance.
So your sister might want to avoid names beginning with E, but also those ending in A.
The Welsh names Bethan, Gwenan and Megan would all go nicely with Ella. Accent on the first syllable in each case.
For a boy . . . Alex perhaps?
