Well, I was an empty nester at like 45,so maybe peeps like me would be good hang-out partners? Not exactly child-free but having adult, independent children is close as far as free time. I'm loving it! And yet, I have a similar problem because I'm single & most people my age aren't. Even if their kids are grown, they still have husbands who want their time and attention.

Deb, if you lived near, that would be perfect.

I do have friends with adult children, but in most of these cases they are really wrapped up in grand children, and that's a lot of the same thing. My closest friend here divides her week with spending half of it here and the other half in Phoenix taking care of the grandbaby. It's the cycle of life, I know, but it really seems like it never ends.

I wish i knew why babies were even remotely interesting. They are just creatures to be slaves to, more or less. And I do realize that makes me the odd one out. smile
