She considered the bloody knife Vance had carried as she dropped to her knees and carefully collected the shiny dust the strange figure had left behind into a plastic bag.

"I've got to find out what this is." she said as she studied the dust in the bag.

Vance stared down at the bloody knife he held in his hand as it began to shake violently.
