Can't forget the
crocheted ponchos
with clogs

and the very very short sundresses that came with matching little panties!!!

(yes proudly I wore them all~ even at school)
But we always went barefoot in the restaurants, stores, and drove cars sans shoes!!!

Yikes

All the above and I spent hours combing my long straight hair so that I could braid it wet, sleep on it, and have kinky hair!
what in the world were we thinking!

Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Ted Nugent, AC/DC,John Cougar,Heart, Fleetwood Mac I could go on....... Those were the days...

Superbowl of rock all day all night rock and roll (Lala Palooza tries to recreate~but I don't think it is the same)

vinyl records, record shops, head shops, fat tires on cars w/ jacked up back ends

No internet~ just the phone on the wall! (that we all had to share so phone calls were limited to 10 min.!)

Guess one could say I'm a 70's child - that decade was my formitable years. Finished Elementary School 6th grade in June 1969, Middle School (Junior High, as it was called then), High School, college & ending with Bachelor Degree May 1979.

Everything I did was a fad of the period.

You may have me by just a short couple of years but the 70's were my growing up years too!
They were fun innocent family times
but the world was quite a rocky place!

the war, the protests, the loss of life..but we didn't have the communication we do now..we know everything instead of knowing little to nothing when we were growing up!

shoot families were picnicing on toxic waste sites ya know that kind of stuff! Even though we would adopt a POW and buy a bracelet with his name on it~everything still kept rolling, people wanted to stop pollution but really no one knew how to clean it up!
