One thing my local yarn shop does, if you finish the project in a reasonable period of time, a month or two, they will take back full (like new) skeins or unwound hanks if you ended up not needing them. So I always buy extra. (Okay and I never return the extra either, but it is a thought!)

You can always find some use for it down the road - right? I wouldn't take it back either.

That is the attitude (although that attitude is why my stash is the size it is) smile

In the meantime have you checked out Knitty? They have some very fun patterns that definitely appeal to teenage girls.

Another article idea - patterns for 3-4 year old girls (since I have 2 granddaughters). I'm not into very difficult things like sweaters but recently I did a couple headbands with boucle yarn and would love to find some more headband patterns or small purses, for instance.

Speaking of stash-I seriously need to reorganize mine. I have some shelving in my bedroom closet and it's spilling everywhere! Hard to see all the yarn I have when it's in this state. Maybe an article on organizing tips?
