another good way of getting lots of gil i find is to keep killing One-eyes. they drop armour with 2-3 slots and with triple AP on them. you can sell them off for 22000 odd (2 slots) and 67000 odd (3 slots). easy money and they are easy to kill (only 150k HP)
The quickess way for me is to get auron to open the chest when I saw one in the omega ruines and get tidus to kill that lizard then rikku to kill that mimic
