Does anyone know for a fact that ferrets have a certain rabies quarantine period rather than immediate death and having head removed? Is this only state by state or all legal states?

Here is my current article on ferrets I am working on detailed articles concerning the ferret and one of them is vaccinations. While searching there is a lot of discrepancy on laws.

CA is way out of line not allowing the ferret. Only one other state doesn't allow the ferret and that is Hawaii. They should make them legal, that way they would have control over the population. They would have to be spayed and neutered the they couldn't start any feral colonies they would be shooting blanks!
