Your 2nd paragraph ----" people have tried to tell me..... that having a child will give me a purpose...". WHAT !!!!!!
That really bothers me. I have never thought that, and have never had any one tell me that.
A PURPOSE ! My gawd,I guess they think polluting the already overpopulated world with more kids is the pupose in life. Give me a break. ( shakes head in disbelief).
Personally, at (around) 60 yrs. of age I have never had one regret of being childfree. That's the key word childFREE.
I've always loved my freedom, as you do. So enjoy it
