What I did was visit a local restaurant where I could be served and had my quiet time and journal writing ~ Helped out local businesses and I was able to relax and enjoy time away from distractions

Oh, that is SO neat! Years ago, I had a coffee shop to which I loved going in New Rochelle, NY... wonder if it is still there. My husband would drop me off (he had work things to do) and I would have a lovely time for a couple hours, people-watching, writing, and sipping wonderful diner-type coffee... the peach pie was irresistible too!

What was fun was how people would smile and say hello when they saw me writing. They'd talk about writing, journaling in particular, with me. i may have inspired a few to re-start... You know, they say New Yorkers are unfriendly, but honestly, I met SO many lovely folks there!

I'll tell you true, Lisa... it was one of those rather rare (for me, anyway) moments where you feel like everything is cool and you you fit in quite comfortably with the rest of the world, if that makes any sense! smile
