Now you've made me hungry for the filet-o-fish, I love those!
This is a tough call. I love eating fish. Fish are very healthy for you. People should eat more fish. But of course we need the fish stocks to sustain. Ecologically, fish areas evolved to stay in a state of equilibrium. Fish would grow and spawn at a rate to stay even, not to have billions of "extra" fish around. But now that we're fishing at such astronomical rates, we are affecting the natural fish reproduction rate. I hope I explained that well
I.e. the whole fish growth cycle is going to have to change to account for the fact that these "new predators" are taking away such a large percentage of their fish world. Those fish would have lived otherwise - either to make baby fish or to serve as food for natural predators. So we're having an effect on the food chain.
