I kind of let this topic die off - so I thought I'd check in and see how everbody is doing.
What is going on in life?

Okay will try this again, Yes I am new. My daughter passed away June 10, 2009. Last Saturday a series of strange events happened. I wasn't really spooked, but it only took the second event to make me wonder if my daughter was trying to give me a message. How do you figure these things out?

It is usually a deep pulling within yourself - almost a sense of deja vu - like you've been there before but not quite. Or more like you feel like something is going to happen but not quite sure what it is. You'll find yourself on the tips of your toes looking around for your daughter, and even though you know she has passed away and you know it - it doesn't see strange at all that she might walk around the corner.
Now, trying to figure out what these messages mean are a wole different story. You have to decide if the events were peaceful or soothing or protective. Was your daughter trying to say "goodbye, geting you to let go of her, or trying to warnyou about something coming up. Often times your dreams will lead you down the path of better understanding.

Love this thread! I was thinking yesterday that things that are "physical" everyday nonsense are the things that teach us most about spirituality. So when I start looking behind the everyday things, but from a higher viewpoint, I start to see what lessons I'm learning that help me grow.
Sometimes, if I remember in time before the emotions kick in, I pretend I'm floating up above a situation. And then I look down on it from the viewpoint of eternity. And that helps me get a grip on the smallness of the situation when I put it up against the whole universe and all that's in it.
But I need a thread like this to remind me of the things I do from time to time.
Thanks.

It is hard to distance ourselves from the emotions long enough to really take a look and "get the message" sometimes.
And sometimes it is that we have 2 sets of emotions - the "kneejerk" ones that society has drilled into us, and then the "heart" ones that our souls are really telling us to pay attention to. But like you said, we need that moment to look down from the outside before we can get to those deeper feelings.
