I had Novasure and essure done April 09. Post op was a few days of semi aggressive cramps and a few weeks of cramps when I lifted anything. I had very little discharge and have not had a bleeding period to date. I did complain to my GYN about occasional ovary pain, he told me I would still feel ovulation (pretty much dismissed it as that) I don't think I ovulate every week or so. Now 4 months later, I have lost the feeling or urge to pee. I dont know if it is related but from reading other posts, I think it may be. It started out gradual and then I noticed not getting up during the night to go, and then not having to go early in the morning. I just remind myself to go now. I also have experienced kidney pain and my GP found blood in my urine. I'll go to a urologist next week and see if this is related to the novasure. I kinda hope it is so I wont have yet another "Natural" health problem at the young age of 43. I'll re post after my appt. Hanging in, 1Nanna

I was bleeding for 6wks at a time then i would stop for 1 week and start up again. My friends thought i shoud be dead from all the blood i had lost.. since surgery no bleeding just pink water color every few hours and now i have the urge to pee 5 times a day.. :( the pink water stopped a week ago..

Hi, I had the surgery in 2008. Everything was great for the first year. But I had to go to ER in January 2009 for pain on right side. It was the worst pain every. I got 4 shot of pain medicine it didn't easy up until the next day. My O/B just wants to go in a do explorator surgery. I want to know what is happening. I went to after hours clinic this weekend with the pain again. It happens about the sames time. I will go several months without the pain then I get it back. I think our body doesn't have anywhere for our blood to go so we cramp up. Please let me know what you have done to help with the pain. I don't have time to be down two days a month. tray

I would have to agree with you. I haven't gone to the restroom since Friday which is not good. I have noticed this happen everytime I have this pain and problem. I'm glad to know I'm not crazy with this pain. I want to feel good and not hurt every month. I didn't have periods this bad. tray

I wonder if you ladies can't go to the restroom because you are afraid of the pain.

It sets up a kind of psychological block, and the body responds to it by holding back. When any of that area is in pain, you lock up all your muscles.

Try getting some stool softeners, drink lots of water, cut back on the caffeine and start eating salad. Also drinking warm (not hot) herbal tea will sometimes help relax the intestines.

Also, try taking warm baths, warm heating pads, anythings that will help relax those muscles. It will also help with the pain from the Novasure (I said help, not get rid of. You still need to talk to your doctor).

But it is kind of like when you have a really bad headache and you catch yourself gritting your teeth in pain. Locking the jaw makes the headache worse - but it is almost a knee jerk reaction to do it.

I'm sorry you ladies are in so much pain. I hope things start to esae up for all of you. frown

I had the surgery Jan 2008. Everything was great until Jan 2009. I had really bad pain on my right side. I went to ER they gave me 4 shots of pain medicine but nothing worked. I have the pain really bad for 2 days then I'm fine. No bleeding. I do have trouble going to the restroom. I have had another bad 2 days I went to afterhours clinic. I have had 2 CT scan, ultrasounds. You name it I have had it done. i just don't know what else to do. My ob says we can go in a do explorator surgery. More money. Not what I want to do. I did novasure to save money. Now it is costing me alot of money to stay pain free. I really upset about this now. I had one great year with no problems. I wish I could find an answer. HELP

I had the Nova Sure procedure in January 2007, my hysterectomy is scheduled for next week, I am 51 years old. The first nine months went ok, bloating, drainage, etc. Suddenly I had the worst stomach, back and side pains ever, then brown discharge (I was on vacation). At first I thought I had gas pain, but then the bleeding developed and the pains continued. I have had these terrible pains off and on and my period is heavy. It will last anywhere from 6 to 10 days, and I cramp very badly, constantly. I waited it out like the Dr. suggested, having pain and taking strong painkillers. My periods are worst than when I had the procedure and I now have scar tissue, fibroids, and my uterus is misshaped, and I have to wear protection for the constant discharge. When I had the procedure everything was normal and I had an internal ultra sound and pap smear the week before it was done. I would have never had this done if I had known I would develope such severe pain and the problems with it. A friend of mine had the procedure the month before me and she had experienced the same problems and had a hysterectomy last year. The procedure isn't worth the pain and stress not to mention the cost. I've noticed they don't advertise it on TV like they did when I had it done.....

Hello all, I'm concerned about all the pain and cramps you're experiencing after getting the novasure ablation. I'm scheduled for this in about two weeks and wonder if I shouldn't have it now? I've been having very irregular and long cycles since August and my Gyn has recommended this procedure. If each of you had the choice to go back would you change your mind and not have done novasure?

I am recovering from my hysterectomy that I had 3 weeks ago and I am feeling so much better. The recovery isn't a walk in the park, but it beats the constant cramps, bloating and having the urge to potty constantly. I wish that I had this procedure instead of the Novasure and saved myself alot of pain and problems.
