Today was in the neighborhood of our Polish restaurant and decided to stop in to check if they had some "fresh" Krupnik for my mom. (usually they have some but frozen for sale) I was going to grab some lunch...a sandwich maybe to take with me for my visit with mom (she's in a nursing home now) There was a platter of fresh golumbki sitting on a tray that I spotted so my sandwich turned into two golumbki with a side of mashed potatoes and fried onions in butter spooned over them. Yummy and also a slice of some type of ciastko (had apple slices with cherries and a crumble of sugar on top). I offered some to mom but she was on her way to communion so wouldn't taste. I got to eat it all by myself...uhhhmmmm!!!! yummy!!! I would have taken a photo if I had my camera with me.
