Oh, this is so nice! I love my morning coffee with friends. Well...I love coffee anytime, really. Especially a good cup of mocha!

I brought some white chocolate, macadamia nut cookies to go with our coffee.

I used to have a recipe for a coffee-flavoried chocolate and somehow it got lost over the years. Does anyone have such a recipe?

Hi Phyllis!

Welcome to my world! lol!

Are you talking about a drink or a candy?

I have some original coffee recipes including a mocha drink. I used Cool Brew but you can replace the cool brew with a strong-brewed cup of coffee.

Thank you so much for your help and for stopping by.

Oh! I forgot to put in 'cake'. It was a very moist chocolate cake with a coffee flavor. It went so well with an afternoon coffee break or after dinner dessert.

May I have more dark roast, please?

Edie,

Thank you. It really IS a whole lotta coffee.

I've got some of my favorite Biscotti today, Noni's--the ones with chocolate on the bottom and almonds.

And to go along with it, some Hazelnut lattes with fresh whipped cream!

I am with Phyllis. I would love to have a great cake recipe that includes what else but coffee.

Anybody have one? smile

One of my visitors called instant the "doodoo" of coffee. Have you tried any of the new instants like Cafe la Paz or Starbucks Via?

Awhile back, while searching for the 'CHEAPEST' instant on the walmart racks, [I just switched from groceries at Winn Dixie to groceries at walmart], and needed to find a new brand, since Walmart doesn't carry Winn Dixies store brand. Little woman sidled up next to me, and got into a discussion. I admitted I could probably get by with digging up the sand in the yard and boiling, and not know the difference. 40 years of instant coffee and cigarettes, taste buds are pretty much gone after the age of 30 any ways. But here in Florida, my main problem, and I've already googled for the answer. It doesn't seem to exist in a Google search. Then again non clumping cat litter may be the answer to my morning beat down on the instant grounds to make them fall into the cup. I use a portion control device to accurately measure how many portions go into each cup. The clumping existed just before hurricane season long before I used the portion control thing. I thought I had the solution for about 3 days there. But the Florida humidity may be more than any cure can fix. When I was in Guam and Puerto Rico, I found a tablespoon of rice in a salt shaker kept the salt from clumping. That worked fine since salt crystals are finer than rice. You got salt instead of rice from the shaker. Since the instant is finer than the rice, but the portion control box would make no distinction, and serve up rice and instant flakes, I put the rice in a reusable tea bag. then the tea bag in the controller after filling with instant flakes. This worked for about 3 days, but the entire bottom of the controller was one large clump of instant that had done nothing but open the teabag full of rice today. I have wondered about those silica gel packets they pack with electronics, but I don't have any of those packets on hand to even test that theory. There doesn't seem to be a Google answer on how to keep the instant coffee from clumping after you remove it from the store.. And No I don't have the money to provide as strict a climate controlled humidity free area as the huge stores. Best i can do is a window a/c. Glass jars wasn't a cure either. once they'd been opened it was just a matter of time b4 I had to go at it with a knife to break up the chunks. Though this is pretty much a seasonal [prior to hurricane season] problem in the southern states, south of Georgia, it didn't happen in Savannah while I was there. It would seem others must have the same problem and a cure or a very frustrating start of every morning. Does anyone else have a No clump instant coffee cure ? A better portion controller, like the one in Georgia would be a solution, but that only seems to be an Australia knick knack. Bed bath & beyond came the closest, but the clumping actually freezes the controllers button.

You could try storing it in the fridge or freezer.
