Welcome to the forum. I have a lot of fun at this forum. But (speaking only for myself) I don't know if you'll get lots of advice. We do have a very good editor in Judie.

What I like about BellaOnline are all the topic that are discussed under one 'roof'. You'll find other areas that have an interest to you. I spend way too much time here! The channel list is to your left. Topic currently being discussed are on your right.

Enjoy! GrannyH

Hiya Granny--Nice to "e-meet" you. I'm in SW Minnesota but used to live in the Minneapolis area several years ago. Been quilting about 15 years and am thrilled to find a forum of others who love the craft as much as I do.

Welcome to the forum, lakesider. We moved from St. Paul to WC MN 15 years ago next month. Which lake do you live on? I thought MN ran out of lakes before it got to the SouthWest. We live right along the border with SD, and the lakes are few and far between (for MN that is). I made my first quilt over 40 years ago, but haven't made many in between. Now, I do have one being quilted (it's being machine quilted in Marshall) and 2 more in the works. Then I may go years before I make another. However, I'm making the States of the US quilt, so I'll be at it for years.

I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do. So again, welcome. GrannyH

Granny: We live on a little prairie lake just outside Fulda called East Graham. We built our dream home here about 4 yrs ago (to replace the very old farmhouse that we lived in). My hubby has lived and farmed here for over 35 yrs now. Of course, with the dream home, I managed to get my dream sewing space--20 ft by 20 ft with big windows overlooking the lake with another large space just behind it for the home quilting set-up that I hope to have one day. Anyway, thanks for making me feel welcome here.

On yeah Connie--I have to tell you...I collected awhile before actually taking the plunge and putting together that first quilt years ago, you are not alone. Just remember, with each quilt you make, your skill level increases (you learn alot from each one, I believe) and you might look at those early ones and wonder what you were thinking! LOL Jump in though--have fun and you'll probably surprise yourself along the way. I used to think I'd never do a mystery quilt--but now they're some of my faves!
