Laura, no, I'm not watching Lost. I started watching it at the very beginning, but LOST interest soon afterwards. laugh Most tv shows don't hold my interest, though. I'm an old fud. I like documentaries, reruns and cute animals shows. Boring! tired

Yuck. It was awful last night. It's jumping all over now, back and forth between 30 years ago and today.

Congrats on your weight loss Janis! Keep up the good work. Sounds like you are really on track!

I missed Deadliest Catch too. Actually I think when we caught it last week it was a rerun from earlier in the week.

I'm glad Rick will get Christian counseling. I hope it changes his heart and really "sticks".

Brenda, what are you so busy with missy? I ran around all morning yesterday, in and out of the car, (well, truck really,) and in and out of stores. I walked a LOT! Got home around 2pm and then ended up cleaning and cooking all afternoon.

Janis, have you seen or spoken to Stephanie lately? She has disappeared from here. Can you pm her (at that other place,) and ask her what's up? But don't mention the name of this place because that *** will then read your pm and flood this place with his Godless, low-life minions, and we don't want that. Please let Steph know not to mention this place either.

Are you gonna be swimming this summer for exercise at your sis's?

Girls, I promise I will be back in here to chat and catch up when my life slows down a little. Awana is getting ready to end for the year soon and it is keeping me hopping -- along with Sunday School and other church activities. Funny... I'm teaching my SS lesson this week on Martha/Mary. Maybe God is telling me something about spending my time doing things for Him as opposed to spending my time WITH Him. *sigh*

Janis, I almost cried when I read that you lost 13 pounds. I *heart* you. smile

Laura, I *heart* you too. smile I'll be back in to play and chat as soon as I can. smile

Good morning ladies. smile How is everyone on this lovely Firday? Friday's always put a little extra spring in my step. laugh

Laura, I got to see the latest Deadliest Catch last night and hearing the stories of the survivors from the KatMai really brought tears to my eyes. One guy said he was in the middle of saing his final prayer, asking that his soul be blessed, when suddenly, the rescue helicopter appeared over the next big wave! It just gave me Holy Ghost goosebumps! What those poor guys went through! It was very sad hearing the stories of the ones who lost their lives and seeing their pictures. frown

I have encouraged Stephanie to come on over, but she said it was so slow over here. I'll tell her that you were asking about her and that she needs to come play with us. No, I will not say a word on that board because prying eyes and all that.

I have a pretty good motivation going right now. I've got the wedding coming up in June and I would just like to see how much I can lose before Rick gets out in December. Even though my friend and I went out for Mexican food last night for dinner, I only ate the taco and a few bites of the enchilada and brought the rest home. I tried not to eat anything else, but about 10:30 last night, my stomach was cramping, so I ate a 90 calorie rice krispie treat. laugh I have cut way back on my food comsumption. Yesterday, I ate a banana for breakfast, I ate half a sandwich for lunch and then the mexican food for dinner. Now if I can just keep that up!!! laugh And yes, I'll definitely be swimming this summer. Once I start doing that, I should really be making some strides in weight loss.

Hey Brenda, where ye be? smile

Lynne, where ye be, too? smile

Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely Friday!!!

Good morning. I only have a minute since I have a book club at 8:30 am, but I wanted to say hello.

I finally got out and walked yesterday. Almost 3 miles! It wouldn't have been that far except that I got to where I thought I was getting tired and then had to walk all the way back to my car. smile That's one way to push yourself.

Brenda, that is wonderful news!!! I haven't had a belt on in years, either. Haven't worn shorts since high school! Always hated my short, stubby legs! I woke up this morning and my blood sugar was way low...68. I think it's because I've cut so much food out of my diet that I probably don't need as much diabetes meds anymore. However, I'm not going to ask for them to be lowered just yet. That will probably take a while.

I woke up late yesterday morning. My mom had went to the store and bought donuts and told me mine was out in the kitchen on a plate. I ate 3 bites of it, a little less than half, and left the rest of it! Now that's a first for me! laugh I never got around to eating anything substantial until probably 12:30. Hayley and I went out to get lunch. I got a roast beef sandwich from my favorite sandwich place in town and only ate half of it. Then about 4:30, I ate the other half. By 8 last night, I was hungry again, so I fixed myself a small chicken burrito and left a lot of the tortilla on my plate. smile I don't like eating that late at night, but my Saturday was kind of messed up, so it couldn't be helped. This morning I ate a banana just to give my blood sugar a boost, and after a while, I'll dig something out of the fridge. I still have some of that turkey stuff left to put on a biscuit. I'm craving cookies, though...one of my weaknesses. I know I don't dare have them in the house right now because I would probably go hog wild over them!

Lynne, good going on your 3 mile walk! That is one way to go about making sure you have a long walk! I used to go in the mornings after dropping my daughter off at school while it was still nice and cool. I enjoyed it, but I haven't done that in so long. I probably should start doing that again. I would rather be outside in nature getting some fresh air then to get my exercise walking through Wally Mart! laugh What book are you reading now? My daughter read the Twilight series and really liked them. Everyone has been talking about it. Even her 1st grade teacher has been reading them, so I decided to read the first book just to see what the big deal was. Well, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I really do like the story! It's a really good love story and I wasn't expecting that at all! smile

Laura, what's up in your neck of the woods? Our weather is still staying cool, thank goodness, but I think today is going to be pretty warm. I just dread when the oppressive heat sets in! I will not be a happy camper then!

Not much else is going on here. I'm just waiting for Hayley to wake up because she wanted to go out shopping today. I'm really not in the mood for that since it will be with MY money, but I know she wants to get out of the house, which I don't blame her. Maybe I'll take her driving today. She ought to like that!

Hope you all are having a nice Sunday! smile

Janis, you are a strong woman! If there is a donut in the house, I will eat it. I have to keep that stuff out of the house. When I get treats for the DH or grandchldren I try to get something I don't like.

We just finished Max Lucado's Come Thirsty. We have a great group and sometimes don't talk about the book much. We have to much to talk about in our own issues. In two weeks we will be starting The Shack. I haven't read it yet, even though I have heard about and have talked to many people who have read it.

Good morning, ladies.

Today is "Hop back on the wagon Monday". As is every Monday. LOL

Janis, good job on the donuts. Anything flour based is my weakness. I love seeing you so motivated! *high five* Now, come over here and sit by me and maybe it will rub off. smile I don't want to tell you what I made this weekend, because it will just make me hungry... but the rest of it is going in the freezer. I tell you, if I couldn't take the weekends off, I'd go crazy. It has helped me make it this far!

Lots of kids in DD's class are reading/have read the Twilight books. DD can't read it though because I'm not ready to let her into the kissy-face stuff yet. That's what we call romance here. LOL I think the series gets more romantic as it goes along. Or at least that's what I'm told. Let me know what you think, if you don't mind.

I'm reading one of DD's books now too. smile It's City of Ember. The movie is really good.

Lynne, you have inspired me. I am ready to read Max Lucado again. It has been awhile. He writes beautifully. smile

Laura, where are you, sister friend? I hope you are doing ok. Pop in and let us hear from you. *hugs*
