Dear ICP,

Thank you so much! We did have a pair of mating hawks in the park across the street, but they haven't been there in some years. My bf and I are going on holiday for three days so I will see you all when we get back. Blessing to You All!

We saw several hawks in California, some seals in Santa Cruz, Pelicans and Sea Gulls. I was watching for the Porpoise, we saw three last time we were there, but none this time.

ICP, I got goose bumbs reading about your frigatebird. From the top of my head down my body to my feet, waves of goose bumps. It must have been an honor and an absolute thrill to see such a wonderful bird!

It was truly awesome. It circled over our house while we drove slowly down the street. I made my husband slow down so I could look at it.

As I stated, it definitely brought a message, I have yet to heed. As soon as I identified it, I knew immediately. I need to get to the beach for a little peace. I'm going this weekend, whatever the weather.

Icp - I have never seen a Frigatebird (man-o-war bird). That truly must have been an awesome and unexpected delight! I wonder, if it is significant that it was circling to the East. Well, "get thee to the beach" and enjoy your peace. What a wonderful thing to have seen.

Had to work at the office today. Our office is close to the river and the old site of a paper mill. The wood storks have taken over and apparently aren't planning on leaving.

Quite a few were circling in the warm breeze this morning. With our temperatures already hitting the low 80's I would have thought they would be heading north.

Dear Phyllis,

While I was waiting to post on the new story forum, our hybrid wild cat kept putting his paw on your icon. I thought he wanted to post something. Pharoah is a pure bred hybrid wild cat whose ancestors come from the Savannahs of Africa. He's third generation. He gives lots and lots of kisses.

Pharoah must like the Buffalo and the story of White Buffalo Calf Woman. Smart cat! He seems very affectionate, too. I wonder what he would post if he could.

Thanks for sharing this cute little story, Theresa.

Raven visited me this morning. He was out on the patio railing when I went out and just sat there and looked at me for a minute or so, then flew up to the top of the pine tree.

Dear Phyllis,

He is very smart and affectionate. He would ask you to scritchle behind his ears and for kisses.

Raven was back this morning. I sat out some bread crumbs and sunflower seeds for him.

The Quail have been very busy trying to keep their little family groups together. Apparently the young ones are too curious this year.
