My dad loved O'Reilly's Bold Fresh something or other. He kept telling me I should read the book. Then again, my dad just loves O'Reilly and never misses him. He really does make a lot of sense! So does Glenn Beck. I really like him a lot!
I had a wonderful ham glaze that I made up myself, but thanks to my daughter and her prankster trick on me, all of my recipes have been zapped into oblivion!

As I recall, I sauteed some diced onion and smashed garlic in butter and then added (1/2 cup) apricot jam, (one tablespoon) dijon mustard, (1/4 teaspoon) cloves, (1/3 cup) brown sugar, a splash of vinegar and maybe a little honey...and that's about all I can remember of it. (The measurements in the () are guesstimates, for your dining pleasure.

Laura, sorry to hear you're still sick! You and Brenda must have something similar, huh? I've just been holding my breath that I wouldn't get sick and so far, I haven't. I'm so happy! Once tax season is over, I won't care as much. Have you tried the carne asada marinade yet? I think I'm going to make some of that marinade and use it on chicken. I think it might work pretty good with chicken. I was day dreaming just the other day and remembered Ina Garten making Tequila Lime Chicken. I tried her recipe but was not very impressed with the flavor of it. I never gave it much thought again until recently when I got to thinking about it. I would like to try making it again, but this time going by the beat of my own drum.
Here's what I was thinking...tequila, lime juice, a little vinegar, a splash or two of soy sauce or worchestershire sauce, a couple diced up jalapeno's, diced onions, minced garlic, a little chili powder, fresh ground pepper, kosher salt and maybe a teaspoon of brown sugar to off-set the tartness just a little. How does that sound? Once tax season is over with, I'll be eager to get busy in the kitchen again. I've run completely out of my hot sauce and I haven't made any in months. I bought the prettiest salsa bowl on-line and I can hardly wait to have a mexican feast and put my hot sauce in it.
I got off work early today since the boss didn't have a lot for me to do (she had other things going on today), so I went shopping. I found the cutest dress for Hayley along with the cutest shoes to go with it! She's in taking a shower right now and wants to try everything on after she's got herself all prettied up.

The boss invited Hayley and I for Easter brunch at a very nice restaurant in town, so I wanted her to have something nice to wear. She's got a lot of dresses, but they're mainly sun dresses.
Lynne, I cracked up when I read about one of your daughters friend locking herself in the bathroom. I guess it's a common thing with girls, huh?

The drama has continued on since that party, too. My daughter was so upset at the way this girl acted and told her that she totally made her other friend feel like she was being talked about all night long. Of course, the other girl tried to blow that off by saying the other girl is just too sensitive. Another thing I didn't like that this girl kept doing was throwing french fries at the other girl. I told my daughter she better never do such a thing at anyone's house because that is just rude! There were about 5 french fries laying on the floor and I said pretty loudly, "Do not leave those french fries laying on the kitchen floor!" And this girl had the nerve to tell the other girl, the girl that she was throwing the fries at, to pick them up!

Well, I think I've babbled on long enough here. I'm going to go get out of my clothes and put a mu mu on. I'm ready to relax!
