At least I would know to turn the water off this time.
Actually I have successfully managed to do a few things around the house. I can change a door knob in under 5 minutes. I've managed to actually replace the light switches in ceiling fans (even remembered to turn of the electricity first ;))
I have my own little nifty set of tools including a cordless screwdriver which I even bought my mom one. Fixing those things that I can actually gives me a sense of "I can do it" accomplishment.
