I've documented all the steps in choosing and using my kiln here -

PMC and Kilns

It really is a lot of fun. Now that my tests are done, I can progress into actual production.

The origami booth was fun, I didn't sell anything there. Mostly I talked with people, gave away free cranes and business cards. Which is a start. I considered it good practice in getting over my shyness.

I am glad it was fun and good for you in feeling less shy. smile

Did you pay for the booth? I guess you were banking on getting future sales?

1. Rewrite all the articles on the Islam Site.
2. Get 3 more autopilot income streams set up.
3. Loose 22lb and firm up.
4. Do one thing each day to boost my children's self-esteem.
5. Buy a Mac Laptop. (I've wanted one for ever so long now!)
6. Visit Malaysia.
7. Get my house organized and de-cluttered room by room.

I'll probably come up with more, but that's what I've got for now.

Jill - the wine shop gave it to me for free, I buy a lot of wine from them smile

Sadiyya - those are awesome goals, and they sound very achievable!!

Visiting Malaysia is an AWESOME goal! I've been as far as Ukraine but never further than that. It seems so intimidating to go into the actual "East". What draws you to Malaysia?

We can DEFINITELY help with organization and decluttering - swing by the organizing forum!

Sadiyya, your goals sound reasonable and fun! What autopilot income streams are you working on?

We can also help with the losing weight stuff on the low carb and weightloss forums.

Lisa, I read your kiln info. The little silver and gold origamis are beautiful! How much will they sell for?

Me: I am getting closer to thinking about my priorities and goals again. I want to be very very careful to not fill my time up again without thinking everything through first.

My amorphous ideas at this point involve lots of time to do *nothing*, time for yoga/workouts/hikes, time for creative arts like painting and photography, and working on my projects for income.

That last one is going to be sticky. I can see myself loading up on all kinds of fun projects too soon and feeling overwhelmed, unhappy and furtively, guiltily behind again.

Sa'Diyya,

Your goals definitely meet the SMART test. They are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and set to a Timeline. And I like how the goals range from visiting Malaysia--something you wouldn't do everyday, to those things you will do everyday--the self esteem activities with the children.

Jilly, I agree sometimes the goal is to not set specific goals for a time while you regroup, recharge etc.

I'm actually in a somewhat similar position right now. Instead of setting specific major goals, I assign myself one thing to do each day that will move along the various components of my career.

Instead of saying: I'd like to be published in XYZ magazine by XYZ date. I say, I'll work on this query until it's finished putting time into several times a week. When it's finished I'll email it in and start on the next query that I work on several times a week until it's finished etc.

Oh my gosh I think I have found my Bella Forum #1. There is so much here to digest that I will have to get back with you later. I'm going to hit all the websites and threads and whatever else those green lines are called. I don't really know all the computer terminology yet. This forum has really grabbed me. See you later.
