Lori, yes, I've heard of handwriting analysis. I see books on the subject all of the time, but haven't looked into yet. Hmmm...unchartered territory and I LOVE unchartered territory. LOL.

Lisa,

I have to admit it was nice not having the internet for a day. I actually went to the library again yesterday, didn't get onto the computer there and got so much writing done!

Bellashorts,

Believe it or not, but up until a year ago, I had to submit a piece for consideration (for a national magazine mind you) via the mail with a hard copy and floppy disk. I kid you not. LOL. I had to look high and low for a floppy disk. LOL. Not sure if they still require subs to be sent this way as I haven't subbed with them in a while.

Susan,

Someone sent me a lovely postcard during the holidays with a picture of a log cabin in the woods with smoke curling from the chimney. And the first thing I thought of was--I wonder if they get internet service out there.?LOL. No internet ever?!?! Perish the thought!

I teach classes on the internet -- so between that, emailing, writing children's articles and short book manuscripts and just plain internet surfing -- I'm looking at 8 to 12 hours a day online!

Daisy, 8-12 hours a day sounds about the same for me. I turn my computer on at 6 am when I get up and then turn it off at around 11 or so when I go to bed. Sometimes I turn off the computer when I leave for a few hours, but sometimes I don't. I'll watch a T.V. program then get on the computer, take a walk to the library then come back and get on the computer etc, cook dinner, then I'm back on again before I help with baths and homework etc.

Today I was good instead of getting caught up in emails etc, I wrote first, and kept an article going making web research secondary and I finished the entire article by 11:30 am. So that's a good thing.

A lot. First without internet we are all in the dark as far as what is going on, we cannot watch the news because journalists are the ones telling it and they are liars. Plus in my case if it weren't for the Dallas Stars I would be dead right now so I have to have an internet connection in case it is not on television (like more than 1 period IN THE PLAYOFFS when they made it the first time after 5 years without making it) or the satellite's signal is off. And it is a nice way to pass the time and especially a nice way to meet people (without internet nobody would listen to me).
