But don't you consider yourself a psychic or a medium? For clarity's sake, can you define the difference between what you do (intuitive development) and psychic mediumship?

I was told a long time ago that I was a natural medium. But I made a conscious choice to "close the door" as much as possible. I did not want to be a microphone for any passing spirit!

How can you tell the difference between your imagination and your clairvoyance?

I don't know where I stand on religion now, but I do know that if I don't address some of my questions, I only end up with a very scrambled brain!

Clairvoyance is my preferred term, actually just because it isn't making claims that tend to come with a great deal of stereotypes. But, it can get confusing as to what that entails simply because it's more general. I'm torn sometimes as to what to use in describing courses. I also prefer consultations to readings, but I'll use both terms.

I use to really dislike using the terms psychic and/or medium only because they aren't quite understood altogether by the general population as to what they mean exactly, i.e. how much a person can see or do. I'm finding though that those are the tems people are looking for.

For your question though, I am a psychic/medium, I see events personally and globally but not every single event there is to see. I can't think of any psychic that can, no matter what they claim they can see or write about in a book. The glimpses a psychic gets are very VERY fast - like remembering a dream that slips away from the bed to the bathroom, but faster. You have to learn to part conscious awareness of the present to conctrol the speed and then focus to get more details. Both take a great deal of time and patience but get easier the more you do it and finding a routine that works. Often you'll just get sensations, overwhelming ones with a person or place until you can learn to do these thing, disecting them in order for your mind to move on or block those channels out like you mention.

Dream are something different. Often they are very detailed and you'll remember them months, years, even decades later. They'll also tend to repeat themselves or occompany voices and scents.

"Intuitive dedvelopment" again is another general term most people can relate to. It's something we use every single day with or without knowing it. By working with someone's intuition it's up to them how far they want to go with it and in what direction.

Like you mentioned, you really weren't interested in doing mediumship work but may want to help others in different ways with your gifts. When someone who is psychic does find purpose in their gifts, it seems their efforts and life begin to make more sense and becomes more rewarding or at least rewarding in a way that's in addition to other things in their lives.

Maybe that is what I am lacking. Direction and purpose.

It isn't so much that I didn't want to get into mediumship, but I was scared away from it. Like I would be opening myself up to the dark and negative side. And then, of course, there is what church doctrine (the Bible) tells us.

Anyway, don't we all have these gifts? Aren't they for our own use to help us through life?

I can't imagine how my "gifts" could be used to help anyone else, really.

Right now, I'm trying to find a way to offer the classes as inexpensively as possible to reduce the costs. Maybe chat or email. I really dislike offering generic courses, pre-made, etc. Every person brings something different that is needed. I've not had a case where that isn't the case.

Anyway, they really are something well worth looking into. Often they turn into reading/classes with messages coming through along the way. They may help with some of this. I'm not usually on this long or am able to be, but hooray today I am. I missed it greatly being in CA. My husband and I have a business outside of what I do.

Our gifts though, like anything aren't just for us. They aren't to proclaim either. Ironically, sincere psychic abilities are a selfless gift. They come with a great deal of challenges as you probably already know.

How your gifts can help others? They can help others by easing their pain in finding others like them and not having to lead a life of hiding and ridicule when they know - somewhere, they are sane, just different. They can also be utilized to move energy, as in healing energy or reike. They can help mend the ties or messages from the Other Side which I promise with everything I've come to know, EXISTS. There is so much love involved - that love continues. They DO keep that connection when they pass, each of us does. When we pass we will communicate.

As far as the church goes. You've got to consider politics. That's all I really want to go in to at this time. But there's your answer as some of the things that are and aren't disclosed or talked about.

There is evil energy. I always tell people it's just like getting on a highway. Should you stop driving just because we have idiot road rage drivers out there? Some people chose to, but it tends to make their lives a bit more difficult. It limits their abilities to go where they want or even need to be.

Like I mentioned - I'm working on some form of what I do in person but personally on-line. I know if I can do that I can eliminate at least $10.00 of the courses or readings. It would certainly help with the economy. A lot has to do with my ability to keep a signal or connection via the internet. I'll keep everyone posted When I can afford to I offer seasonal discounts.

Oh, Elleise. I'm not asking for you to lower your prices at all. You're more than fair.

I just don't where to go on this.

If I reopen doors, I just don't know what the purpose would be.

You'll have to forgive me. I'm all over the place today. My husband is leaving for a work trip and I'm trying not to think about it, especially today. But I'll be able to be in the forums more So, that part I like!

Spiritual paths, any path really, psychic tendancies, seem to run in cycles of great many purposes, timing, need, etc.

When I was working in the brokerage field, for instance, I wasn't focused or even had a place for psychic anything, yet I would still have dreams and premonitions.

They were more, "psychic whatever dreams" and feelings I tried to push out, like the numbers of a license plate, then seeing it on my way to work, or accidents, type thing. They were just annoying enough to let me know they were still there.

I wasn't prompted to dedicate anything significant with them, yet, like a child they were always a part of me. When I was in the business world, I was rebelling, lol, against the abilities I had felt curse by really. I have yet to experience all the ooo-ahh's (happy endings) shows like Ghost Wisperer and Medium, though I like both shows, portray.

It wasn't until about 10 years after the broker biz. I thought about how I moved away from everything I use to know and felt "flat" inside. So for me I decided to give my "stuff" a chance at having a place in my life. I decided to help people and talk openly now about something we will actually see being utilized publically (not like the shows though) in everyday business and life. I guess to give people a jump start or help ease the pain of feeling like you're crazy.

Is there a reason you're contemplating working with your abilities now? If yes, then if you can pin point what prompted it you'll most likely have an answer inside of you,somewhere.

Self development could help me understand myself and use my abilities to better direct my life. Sometimes, I feel as though I am tossed to and fro, like the sea at the mercy of the wind.

From the time I was born, it seems that I was bred to be a pleaser. I still like to please people but I feel as though I'm finally ready to step into my own. When it is time to recognize and be true to one's own self? Only then will I be of true use to this world.

Metaphysics is real. Religious dogma stymied me every step of the way. To me, it doesn't have to be one over the other, especially when the truth encompasses everything.

My intuition, or still small voice, has nudged me again and again and I failed to recognize it because of the loudness of my own thinking. I would like to hear it more clearly.

I want to be of use here on earth.

I think this is why (with the courses/class) i have such a difficult time classifying them as one thing. When you say, "Psychic Development" depending on who's seeing that, they may think, "Wow, my visions/feelings will be off the charts."

It's rather more like seeing a dart board with the bulls eye being the source of psychic abilities. You address each ring after identifying the component of the bulls eye. the rings have more if not everything to do with the person or vessle carrying the gift, and the course the already developed gifts have taken and most likely been put on a shelf for a time. If you just developed the "muscle" so to speak, it's just there.

There are so many other things to consider. What your strengths and weaknesses are, your paths (past and present), current personal circumstances, family, kids, caretaking, the list goes on and on. Some people like public speaking and teaching, others healing and more personal experiences one on one. There's also the organization aspect of what to do as your "muscle" becomes stroner and more accurate. Your ability to let go and be in the present.

It may all sound confusing, but that's why you just take the rings one at a time. Then you go back (like a recipe book) and apply the techniques and surfacing insights to whatever happens to be going on at the time.

Beleive it or not the information that comes through when youre dedicated to pushing the healthy levels of your gifts can be difficult to access when you are having demands in the family, work, the real-time world, etc.

One of the first things I usually recommend is 1-3 hours of you-time, no exceptions. I understand there are books and meditations "for the busy soul." I've purchased them and they made me feel good listening to the cd's on the way to work, etc. but it was a bit like taking a 10 minute bath and hopping out.

I've actually heard that is the most difficult part of the course, lol. You start small and work your way up. Some people need to see their "you-time" in a schedule book or calandar. Some take an hour before bed or wake up and hour early. Some, even say they like making me an excuse to get on the internet - like an appointment. There seems to be, especially with women, guilt in taking that time, especially when there are kids and/or health difficulties.

I always say, the better you are, though, the better you are for everybody else. The psychics truest nature is one of healing. It's really difficult for them to be anything else.

When it comes to helping others in my life, I suppose I wish I could foresee the outcomes of the choices before them so they could take the higher path. Like being able to warn them of an approaching cliff edge.

Or even seeing into their past lives so they can understand why they face the current challenges and help them work through any lingering, unfinished karma. This is healing, of some sort, isn't it?

As for mediumship, it seems that people really want to connect with deceased loved ones. It offers a measure of peace and hope.

I suppose that I would like to be able to convince others that there is an afterlife and that current life choices determine their future.

That knowledge might help them live differently.

Here is another way when knowing helps:

No one likes injustice but my son gets outraged at any sign of unfairness. As a kid on the playground, he would fight any other kid, no matter how mismatched in size or number, when another child was being victimized. He was a defender of the weak, I thought with affection. But as he grew, we noticed he went beyond a sense of justice. If we watched a POW or war movie, he would storm out of the room and get so so angry for days. It was beyond reason and we thought something might be wrong with him, mentally.

One day I received a past life reading for him, based on his astrological data. I was shocked to read that he possibly had been a war prisoner who was tortured at the hands of others who were unjust. Now, it made perfect sense.

We do not need to pursue psychological intervention! When he himself understood that he may brought with him some karmic memories, he relaxed a little. He still does not like war movies or news reports about criminals who hurt innocent people but who does? He doesn't think he's crazy and that made the world of difference.

So knowing can help immensely.
