That which you give you in life comes back to you multiplied and I try never to forget this because I have seen it in action so many times. But one thing I have never been able to bring myself to do seriously is tithing, ie giving away a specific proportion of my income on a regular basis. I am self-employed and work comes and goes so there are times when I am really busy and have plenty of money coming in, and others when I have none, tighten my belt and focus on other areas of my life, knowning that the hectic and profitable times will return. Does anybody have consistent experience of tithing which they can share? The principle is tightly bound to the Law of Attraction, but it is not easy to put into practice! Hi Isabel, welcome to the Self Development forum! In answer to your query, there are cultures/religions where it is the norm to give a specific percentage of your earnings away as a matter of course. I guess if everyone around you is doing it, it just becomes the natural way of life. (JOY)

I'm reading her new book now, The Power, and am really enjoying it. It focuses more on the feeling aspects of LOA.

Actually, the Bible does state the LOA with this verse, "As ye sow, so shall ye reap."
I'd like to read the Power. Since reading The Secret, my husband and I have found that it take feelings to manifest and move the world. We've worked on our abilities to feel and attract, and thus create our lives.

I think that everything in your life is based on the LOA. Even the stuff you don't like.
I found that so much of my problem was figuring out what to ask for. And this was a big key for me because no one ever taught me that I was in charge and that I had to create my own reality and that which I dwelt upon is what would manefest. In the bible it also says ask and you shall receive, knock and it shall be opened.
So you get what you ask for... If you don't ask for the good stuff you won't get it. If you upgrade your requests you wil get better experience coming into your life both on the material and in spiritual guidance and grace level.

Oh and I would add... I haven't read "the Power" but you mention about on an emotional level..
e-motion is Energy in motion. If your emotions are messed up then the outcome in life will be messed up.
Eventually you need to translate your e-motion into words and that is the command to create... in the bible is also say in the beginning was the word and the word was of god.
feeling and emotion move into constructed thought into word into manefestion.

I totally agree Arrow. For so long, I got what I asked for, and since I was going around feeling I didn't deserve things, well, that's what I got LOL!
It all really changed for me when I read Lynn Grabhorn's book, Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting. I decided to focus on getting a new truck - and we had one in about a month. It was awesome - and better than anything I'd even imagined. Though, I imagined I was getting something better than what I'd imagined LOL.
Over the last few months I've been thinking about how I would like a new car - that lovely truck has been fantastic, but it's getting old, and needs to not have to run around so much LOL.
But, I keep going back and forth between something like a Subaru Baja, which only seats four, and a Tahoe or Mini Van that seats eight.
Big difference! So obviously, there's a good reason a new car has not come into my life yet ---- I can't make up my mind HA HA HA!!

Hi Lori, yes, not many people realise that the Bible (and other religions' texts) mention the LOA in some way. Reaping what you sow is a good example. (JOY)

Yes, youre quite right. It can be quite difficult to decide on what you truly want from life. But once the focus is there, everything seems to fall into place. (JOY)

I'm always amazed at how Jesus Christ taught important principles that got pushed by the wayside by religion. At one point, He even said, "There is more to tell you but you cannot bear it now."
Here is an example of how Jesus used LOA: In the miracle of the loaves and fishes, He didn't work anything magical. His prayer to His Father did not ask or command, "Multiply these bread crusts and fish so I can feed the multitudes!" No.
Instead, Jesus offered a prayer that began with gratitude. He thanked His Father. Gratitude is a powerful energy vibration that sets things in motion.
